PLxSU4U - Project Life Blog Hop!

It's that time of the month again!
Time for the PLxSU4U Blog Hop with my Advisory Board sisters. Each month we highlight Project Life projects and products to give you fresh new ideas for this awesome memory keeping system.

You may have come from my friend Jodi Reinert's Blog and I know she had some fantastic ideas for you! If you missed it, click on the icon below to go back and check it out.

Here's my highlighted project this month - it's part of a class I'll be offering in April! I used the Framed Love Refill kit from Paper Pumpkin to create this page in the 6" x 8" album size.

The colors I used for this page lent themselves perfectly for some Easter pictures that I'd never put in a scrapbook or album. I love these memories so much. And I really love that I was able to create this page in less than 15 minutes, journaling included.

I used the Indescribable Gift stamp set to create a background image on the piece of Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock that my journaling is on. The heart is one of the punch outs included in the kit. It's adhered directly to the card. I've always liked "lumpy" scrapbook pages and my Project Life pages are no different - so the button element on the journaling card is on the outside of the pocket, adhered with a Glue Dot.
I did the same thing for the lower photo/card insert, the button is on the outside.

The heart outline around the photo of my daughter is on the outside of the pocket as well. I used a bit of SNAIL to adhere it around her sweet face.

I actually used the kit to create 3 different out of the box projects - this one included - and I'm really excited to be sharing them in a class. I'll be showing you the rest of the projects later this week once my April class schedule is posted. And there will also be a Class-to-Go option for this one along with tutorial videos and printable pdf instructions sheets.

Here's a picture of the kit contents as it comes:

If you're a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you may already have the original kit at home - did you complete it? If not, now you know there are plenty of alternate uses for it! :)

Color Me Happy! Quick and Easy In Color Tags

Hey folks - how's life in your corner of the stampin' world?

I've been busy keeping up with my downline team lately - they've been rockin' their businesses and I love rewarding them and sending encouragement.
Actually, it's one of the best parts of my job!

Recently, I had 4 of my team complete a cool 30 Day Challenge and they each earned the new, Lovely Amazing You stamp set as their reward.
I hate giving anything away without jazzing it up a bit, so I made some tags and tied them on:

I cut pieces of the Irresistibly Yours Designer Paper that's a Sale-A-Bration freebie. 5 pieces of 2" x 4". I used my Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to make tags then sponged over them with all 5 of the soon to be retired In Colors.
Then I stamped the Congratulations sentiment from the Bravo stamp set and tied them around the stamp sets with coordinating Thick Baker's Twine.
Sweet and simple, but VERY special!

The 5th tag I used to create a card for one of my team members who promoted this week:

I used the stamp set Be the Star for the background on this super easy card. What I love about this one is that it could be for a guy or gal.

For those of you who may not have stocked up on your 2013-15 In Colors, you may want to take care of that soon.
The retiring stamps and accessories list will be published mid-April and those colors are usually the first to sell out. If you own the ink pads, you NEED the ink refills.
They will be available on the after-market (eBay), but at highly inflated prices that you can avoid by getting them now.
Best part? If you order them by the end of March, and your order total is $50 or more, you get to choose a FREE Sale-A-Bration product! You could even chose the Irresistibly Yours Paper I used for these tags.

Here's a list of the supplies I used on these projects along with the ink refills:

Mosaic Madness Flower - Tutorial Video!

Hey there!

This week, one of the great specials in our Weekly Deals is the Mosaic Madness stamp set. These super cool, modern images are fantastic for SO many different ideas and styles and I loved the idea of creating a flower from them.

About a year ago, I designed a card with this flower, but I don't think I ever shared it. :(
So...I redesigned the card AND made a video for you too!

Here's the flower:

And here's the whole card:

And here's the Video:

Scalloped Tag Topper Punch Card

Hello stampin' and craftin' friends!

I've got a new card project and tutorial video for you today - check it out:

I LOVE the bright, fun colors in the Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper, don't you? They are playful and eye-popping and perfect for sending a celebration type card to anyone on your list.

Combined with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, you have a great duo for a quick and easy project.
Here's the video I filmed to show you how to put this sweet and simple card together:

Just a heads up, my sweet Buster Brown dog decided to make an appearance in this one - I give you a warning in the video - it was kinda funny actually, but since he didn't cover anything important, I just left him in. Guess he wanted his 5 seconds of fame. LOL!

Thanks for stopping by today - here's a chart with the supplies I used to create this card. As always, you can click on any thumbnail photo and it will take you directly to my Online Store to place your order.
