Fun New Digital Products!

Do you know what I LOVE about Stampin' Up!?

Well, besides EVERYTHING that is? LOL!

It's because every Tuesday, they release NEW artwork for us to use in My Digital Studio (MDS).
Yep, something NEW every week!
And what's so great about that?

Did you know that your Digital artwork will never retire?
Yep, once you download it, you have access to all that artwork - for EVER!
Now that's what I'm talkin' about!

So, if a stamp set retires from the Idea Book and Catalog - no problem! If it's been released in MDS, then you can always print out the images you need - and size them specifically for your projects.

If your favorite color goes bye-bye, you can still print your projects using THAT color!
Ah, you like that don't ya! :)
Me too.

Here, take a look at this week's NEW Digital Artwork releases:

And even if you don't own and use My Digital Studio software, you can still use this exclusive downloadable art in your photo editing software.

But why wouldn't you want to own My Digital Studio?
It's only $19.95.
You can get it in a download format OR on a disc.
It comes with over $500.00 in digital content.
There is a website dedicated JUST to My Digital Studio that's filled with how-to videos and tutorials for EVERY skill level. It also has a huge gallery of samples for you to browse and be inspired by!
There's even a BLOG dedicated to My Digital Studio - here, check it out:

Spring Means.....Snow?? 12 x 12 Digital Page

Yes indeed, it's March 25th.....

It's really nuts weather-wise here in Virginia.
Yes, even more nuts than normal for our Spring weather.
This time last year, we were fighting with the notion of turning on the air-conditioner!
And now, we have this:

Crazy huh?

I took these pictures exactly two weeks apart - one last Monday, one today.
The first one is out my back door, the second out  my front window.

Weren't we supposed to see this sight in January???

Ah well,
it gave me a great chance to play with the My Digital Studio software.
Hey, any opportunity to craft, right? haha!

Here, I just took a pre-designed layout and changed up some colors, added my text with a font I found online, added some new embellishments and punches, well, I pretty much changed most of it!

But, hey, it was EASY!!!
And it only took me about 30 minutes to create. THAT'S very cool!

So hey, if you haven't yet taken the plunge into digital designing - you're in luck.
Stampin' Up! just permanently reduced the price of My Digital Studio (MDS) to only $19.95!
#130646  My Digital Studio (MDS) Software Download $19.95

There is a ton of exclusive artwork already loaded on the software so you can get started designing right away. Here's a link to the PDF file so you can see what's included:
MDS Software Artwork Thumbnails

It is really a GREAT value with over $500 in digital artwork included in the software.
You can still download the FREE Trial of MDS as well, but at only $19.95 and no shipping to pay, try out the ACTUAL software instead. You'll have it forever, not just 30 days like the trial, and you can explore it at your leisure. And did you know that you can add it to TWO computers??
Plus by downloading it, you never lose your content. If and when you ever purchase a new computer, you can re-download it from my website because your purchase is saved in your profile!
That's pretty much awesome!

Here's the link to my Online Stampin' Up! Store:
Robin's Online Store

Once you purchase the MDS software, check out all the extra FREE downloads that are available to you. Stampin' Up! loves to give us little bonuses, and there are a bunch of FREEBIES there too!

I know you're going to love using MDS - I'll be sharing more and more digital crafting ideas with you here - not just scrapbooking, so stay tuned!

Happy SNOW day everyone!

The Best Things..... 12 x 12 Scrapbook Page

Yes, it's SO true!

The best things in life AREN'T things at all.
And one of the best ways to remember the things that matter most is to scrapbook your memories.

Scrapbooking was my introduction to stamping - not the other way around. I was planning ahead for a new baby when I was introduced to the Stampin' Up! catalog by a friend. Well, after placing a substantial order - from just the catalog - for the things I'd need to start scrapbooking my baby's firsts, I soon hosted a stampin' party.
And well, I guess you can figure out the rest - I was hooked!

My association with Stampin' Up! through the years has been truly wonderful. My "baby" is now 15 years old and I've been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for 7 1/2 years.
Yeah, it took me a while to take the plunge and sign up with the company. NOT that I didn't SHOP extensively when I wasn't a demonstrator! LOL!
Oh, if I could have earned my demonstrator discount on ALL those purchases - well, guess I shouldn't dwell on that, huh?
What's great now is that I'm able to earn an income that pays our monthly car payment, pays for Emma's skating - which is like buying a new compact car each year! For real.
And I do get a great discount on what I love to shop for most - besides shoes that is!

But you wanna know what the best things are about being part of the Stampin' Up! family? Maybe I should show you:

The best things are the people - my friends. Special people who would have NO place in my life at all but for this amazing craft that we ALL LOVE that brings us together.
And these few photos are just the tip of the iceberg - I could do 50 collages of the special people and friendships and it still wouldn't give a true representation of how awesome being part of this big family of stampers is for me.

What's even better is that ANYONE can choose to be part of our great big family!
Yes, that could even be you.

What does it take?
Well, you need $99 and a desire to have fun.

Oh, and you can have fun AND make $$ at the same time.
The two aren't mutually exclusive.
It's working for me - remember the car payment? Yep. I make it every month like clockwork along with paying those skating bills.
And I get the friendships.
And I get to earn amazing vacations - for TWO! (Ahem. Fiji next month. Yep, it's true. Do you think I could afford to go there on my hubby's cop salary? Um, no.)
And I get rewards of FREE product from Stampin' Up! - just for um, doing my job.
When I was a cop, I really didn't get the toaster for writing enough tickets. Yeah, that's just a myth.
I got a paycheck and a pat on the back once in a while, but that's about the extent of it.

Now, I get to work from home. At my pace. MY schedule. No shift work. No working holidays. I get to be the Mom that's home for my daughter at the end of her day. I get to travel to ALL of her skating competitions - and not miss work or use up all my vacation time to do it.

Oh, I could go on - but I think you get the picture.
Dontcha?

I have been blessed beyond measure by Stampin' Up! I'd love for you to experience those blessings for yourself - how could it make your life better?
Just think about it.

$99 will always be enough to purchase your Demonstrator Starter Kit. That's the deal - and you always get $125 in products that you choose.

BUT, through midnight tonight, you get a bonus. You get $156.00 in products for that $99 investment in your future.
I'm gonna quit talking now and let you think it over.
Here's the link to my website so you can check it out and even go ahead and sign up if you want to give it a try.

E-mail me if you have questions - I'll be here. Or at the ice rink.

The Cards We Hate to Make

We hate to send them, we hate to make them, but at least when we do, we know that because we took the time to hand-make it, the recipient knows that it truly came from the heart.

Sympathy cards are in my opinion, the most difficult cards to create for someone. When you create one that is a good design, it's sometimes best to create multiple copies so you have them on hand. I made all these for a swap I participated in this month, but you can be sure that I'll be making another batch.

This design in particular with this stamp set - So Sorry - is a great one because if you leave the inside blank until you need it, you can make it a sympathy card, a get well card or just an I'm Sorry I messed up card. Sadly, we all need those from time to time too. LOL!

The design of this card is SO simple. A monochromatic color combo of Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse and Baja Breeze is subdued, but not somber.

I used the stamp set Secret Garden to stamp the flower across the front panel in Baja Breeze, then stamped over it with the main greeting from So Sorry in Midnight Muse.

The floral accent is one piece of the Flower Trim that I pressed into the Baja Breeze ink pad to color it. It's attached to the card front with Glue Dots and I added a Basic Pearl to the center.
That whole front piece was spritzed with Gold Smooch Spritz for an accent.
Quick and simple, but definitely perfect for this type of occasion.

Here's a few of the products I used to create the card:

#126527 So Sorry Stamp Set $16.95

#129144 Secret Garden Stamp Sest $18.95
#118770 Gold Glow Smooch Spritz $4.95

#126869 5/8" Flower Trim $6.95

You can find all these supplies and so much more in my Online Stampin' Store!
Click this link to visit and shop: Robin's Online Stampin' Store

Simply click the SHOP NOW button at the top right corner to add what you need to your shopping cart.
If you order before Friday, March 22nd, you'll earn a FREE Sale-A-Bration product for each $50 you spend!

Have a great day everyone!

Celebrate Spring! - Sweet Bunny with Video Tutorial!

**Edited on 3/21 to share the card measurements. See the bottom of this post!

Happy First Day of Spring!
Does it feel like Spring where you are?

It snowed here on Monday, it was 66 degrees and sunny yesterday, today will be a high of 55 and sunny and we are watching for more snow flurries by the weekend!
Welcome to Spring in Virginia! LOL!
I've lived here all my life and it's never a surprise for me to see the Redbud trees blooming with snow on their branches.

Spring is one of my favorite seasons - mainly because it's the symbol of the renewal of life. We celebrate Easter in the Spring and the Resurrection of Jesus.
Spring = JOY in my book!

Today I'm sharing some CUTE Bunny art with you and I hope it brings you JOY! I was inspired by a gift from my friend and downline Kim Fields to create this sweet altered canvas:

25th Anniversary Blog Tour - March -Best of Love

Hi there stampers!
I hope you're enjoying the "Love" tour so far!
If this is your first stop, you have LOTS of fantastic inspiration ahead of you for the Best of 25 Years - Love Stamp Set.

You may have just come from the talented Anne Matasci's blog - Maui Stamper. I know you enjoyed her lovely artwork if you did.

Let me show you some of my ideas for this great stamp set:

Here, I combined Basic Black, Whisper White and Pool Party for a contemporary feel with this very detailed and vintage style heart image. It's so easy to update a look with just a change of color. You may have noticed that there is a bit of spritzing on this card. I used the Silver Marker and the Color Spritzer Tool to give this a silvery shimmer.

The focal image heart is embossed with Silver embossing powder, then trimmed out with my paper snips. I added the Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon bow with a Glue Dot after sponging it with some Pool Party ink. The greeting is stamped in Black Staz-On and punched out with the Curly Label Punch. I stamped the heart image partially on it in Pool Party to add a little background filler, then added one flower from the Flower Trim. Sponged in Pool Party as well, then mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals over a wrap of Basic Black Taffeta.

Here's a look at the inside:

A pool party heart in the corner and a bit of spritzing with the Silver Marker adds the finishing touch.

Here's the next card:

I combined Primrose Petals, Basic Gray and Very Vanilla for a more feminine, elegant look. The greeting is stamped in Versamark and embossed with Silver. The floral swirls are from the Elements of Style stamp set.

The ribbon is a piece of Basic Gray 1 1/4" Taffeta scrunched up on a piece of Sticky Strip adhesive. I flagged the end with my Craft Scissors, then added four of the flowers from the Flower Trim. For a bit of sparkle, I added a Basic Rhinestone to the center of each flower.

Here's the inside:

I chose the greeting from Word Play and embossed it as well in Silver.
Sweet and simple. :)

Now, this next card just made me smile. The idea just popped in my head while I was scrunching up that ribbon for the last card and I wanted something a little saucy to play with the "Read My Lips" greeting.

Here, tell me if you get the reference:

Think Betty Grable; Pin-up Girl.....
Now do you get it??

Oh, I sure hope so, because it was so fun to bring that idea to a card!

I used the Netting background on Whisper White, stamped in Black Staz-On.  Then I used my Basic Black Journaling Marker and a ruler to draw seam down the side of the cardstock.
The Pink Pirouette Ribbon was scrunched up on Sticky Strip like in the previous card and I wrapped it with a piece of Basic Black Taffeta.
The three flowers from the Flower Trim were colored with the Pink Pirouette ink pad and adhered with Glue Dots.
Cute garter, huh? Hee, Hee!

Take a closer look:

The little key was a leftover piece from my serendipity pile. It's silver embossed on Basic Gray cardstock, then cut out with my Paper Snips.

The greeting was done chalkboard style, embossing in Whisper White on Basic Black then punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. I stamped the lips separately from the greeting and embossed them with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder. They are popped up on a piece of a Stampin' Dimensional.

Here's the inside:

Another Cherry Cobbler kiss and the greeting from Vintage Verses, a Sale-A-Bration offering this year. I cut it out with the label from Apothecary Accents Framelits.

I {{heart}} this card SO much! It was such fun to make and I hope you like it too! I can't wait to read your comments!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you've enjoyed your stop here at my blog on the tour, you've still got lots of great ideas ahead of you so be sure to keep going! Just click on this icon to go to the next blog, you're headed for Andi Potler's blog next.

RemARKable Stampers -Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Ciao, Baby!

Welcome to my blog!
I hope you are enjoying the blog tour so far this month.
You've just come from Anne Matasci's blog - Maui Stamper and I know you got some great ideas there.

The stamp set we are using - Ciao, Baby, is such a little cutie in our Spring Mini Catalog - kind of irresistible!
Almost as irresistible as this little chocolate nugget layer cake:

This little "sweetie" was so much fun to make - I used 8 nuggets for the bottom layer and 5 for the top. But besides the chocolate, the topper is what makes it!
Here, take a closer look:

Oh, Baby is right!
I used Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party along with Silver Glimmer Paper and Whisper White for my color combo - perfect for a boy or girl.
The Oh, baby stamp is inked with Wisteria Wonder and stamped on Whisper White then punched out with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch.
A 1" Circle punch of Pool Party Designer Paper is behind it and then a 1 1/4" Circle Punch of Silver Glimmer Paper.
I stamped the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle with Pool Party ink. It's actually a Christmas image from the Perfect Punches stamp set, but it was just the right accent for this project and you cover up the Christmas greeting!
The whole topper is built around a cookie stick with Stampin' Dimensionals - pretty cool, huh?
Wouldn't this be just the sweetest little favors at a Baby Shower??
I know! and super - duper easy to make.
You just wrap the nuggets in 1" strips of Designer Paper before you assemble everything.

And look, I just used a cardboard center from a roll of Glue Dots to build my bottom layer around and glued the nuggets in place with Multi-Purpose Liquid Adhesive.
Easy!

Now, this card is my favorite of ALL of my projects today!
I wanted to re-create the look of a vintage tin ceiling tile that's been turned into a Pinterest-style chalkboard project!
Who says Pinterest is just for making what you see? You can use those ideas and totally turn them into your own card artwork!

The chalkboard center is actually a 3" x 3" piece of Basic Black cardstock that I embossed the LOVE image on in White Embossing Powder with my heat tool. To get the chalkboard effect, I rubbed my Embossing Buddy across the cardstock, leaving the white chalky residue. Super simple!
That piece is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals on a piece of 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" Basic Black cardstock.
Now THAT piece was run through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips embossing folder after I coated the inside of the folder with Versamark ink.
The folder isn't square, so I ran it through twice, lining up the first embossing with the raised portion of the folder to get it pretty close to perfect!

Once I'd done that, I added Pool Party Embossing Powder to the Versamarked raised edges and embossed it with my heat tool, giving it that "vintage tin" effect.
Yep, this one made me do the stamper's happy dance!

I turned it into a simple easel card that I was able to write a message on with some pink chalk:

Here's a close up of the embellishments:

I used the Petite Curly Label Punch to punch out a LOVE stamped in Rose Red on Very Vanilla cardstock. It's collaged on a heart cut out of the More Amore Designer Paper cut out with the Hearts-A-Flutter Framelits. I just added a single flower from the flower trim that was sponged in Primrose Petals ink, a piece of doily that was brayered with more Primrose Petals ink and a simple sweet bow tied with some crochet trim from the Artisan Embellishment Kit.
The button on the message area is from the Sale-A-Bration Button and Ribbon pack and it's tied with a piece of Linen Thread.
Yep, I really, really love this card!

Last, but not least is this fun masculine card using the You're Swell stamp image from the set:

That phrase made me think of my Dad coming of age in the 1950's and of course I had to pair it with the fun, retro shoe from Dapper Dad!

I stamped the shoe twice, once in Soft Suede and once in Cherry Cobbler to match the piece of Parker's Patterns Designer Paper I'd chosen for the card.
The Cherry Cobbler one was used to paper piece the argyle areas of the shoe - so cool!
Here's a close up:

I used a piece of Naturals Ribbon for the wrap and topped it with a Naturals Button tied with Linen Thread. It's attached to the greeting which was punched out with the Petite Curly Label Punch.
That was layered on a Curly Label punch of Soft Suede cardstock that I'd stamped the shoe image on for some background. Everything was sponged in Soft Suede ink to finish it off.

Here's a peek at the inside:

I think my Dad would have loved this card, don't you? :)

So, you've seen what my brain was able to come up with, now it's time for your next stop on our tour!
Be sure to click the logo below to check out our next awesome artist!
Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to read your comments on what you thought of my projects.
Have a GREAT day!

Sweet Seashells - Sneak Peek

Good morning stampers!

I've got just a little sneak peek for you of a sweet and simple card I made earlier this week.
We made this one at my stamp camp at the Firehouse on Thursday night and it was a fan favorite!

Here, take a look:

I'll be back later today to share the whole card with you - I need to take some larger photos first!, but for now, I'm off to a local stampin' meeting with a bunch of my demo friends.

I put this on my Facebook Business Page last night -
Trinity Design Studios - Paper Crafting and Fun - with a challenge to name the stamp set the greeting came from, can you? :)

In the meantime, go like my Facebook Page and tag a friend to like it too. I'll draw a name from all the new "likes" today and send out one of these beauties to BOTH you and your friend!

Have a wonderful Saturday and I'll see you back here tomorrow with an all new RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour!
Ciao!
