Howdy crafters!
It's Tuesday - and I had card class last night - so it's LIVE Broadcast day on Periscope!

What? You don't know what I'm talking about?

Well.....it's pretty cool. And it's something I'll be doing after all my live, in-person studio classes for my Periscope followers!
Today's LIVE Broadcast will start at 3pm EST, so read on to find out how you can participate!

I'll be posting photos of the projects here on my blog, along with supply lists for each project to make it easy for you to order the items you need to create each project at home!

You can watch the LIVE streaming broadcast on the Periscope app on any mobile device or online. You'll see me create each project step by step for you - just like I do for my in-person classes!

For any of my followers who then place a $30 order from my Online Store using the Special Code provided, I'll e-mail you a link to the video replay that will ONLY be available to you!
You'll also receive one of the class cards - completed by me - in the mail as a Thank YOU for your order!

Exciting stuff, huh?

Sweet and Simple Candy Treats

I was perusing the Holiday Catalog yesterday, looking for a photo for an article I was writing and I came across the cute little treat holders shown on page 46.
They use the adorable designs of the Happy Hauntings Designer Series Paper and I thought I’d try and create some of my own since there were no directions for the ones in the catalog. At least, none that I could find. LOL!

I came up with these this afternoon:

Aren’t they cute???

But I gotta say - they are DANGEROUS!

I was making a LOT of treat packages today!

I should NEVER be trusted with open bags of candy in the studio.
Never, ever, ever.

So, my waistline will suffer a bit in the name of creativity - but I’m happy to suffer for you! You can thank me later. LOL!

And because I really, really love you guys, I wrote a photo tutorial for you with photos of how to score the paper and measurements and a supply list.
Yep, I’m good like that!

Here’s the link to the downloadable PDF tutorial:

Cherry and Gold - An Easy and Elegant Christmas Card

I was scrambling last night - and I'm not talking eggs!
It was only Tuesday and had been one of "those" weeks. You know the kind, one of those "The hurried-er I go, the behind-er I get!" weeks. Yup.
So, last night, I needed a card project - pronto - for a design co-op I belong to with about 50 other Stampin' Up! reps. And I had to write a tutorial for it. Usually I don't stamp/create well under pressure, but last night, well, it kind of all came together.
Take a look-see:

I {{heart}} this card SO much!

There's just something about a red/gold mix that shouts elegance and warmth.
Here, I used Cherry Cobbler for my red and Gold Embossing Powder.
LOVE it!

How would you like the link to a FREE step-by-step tutorial for this beauty?
Ok, because I love ya' - here ya' go!
Just click the title:

Happy New Home Cards and Gift Tag

Hey there crafty friends!
I've only got a few minutes here to share, but it's been a few days since I've jumped on here to show you anything, I didn't want to wait until I had "time"!
We never have enough time to do it all, do we?

Some dear friends of ours recently moved into a new home and they needed some cards to send out their new address to family and friends. I was so honored when she asked me to create them!

Here are the finished cards and envelopes:

I have a complete supply list at the bottom of the post for you and since this card is super simple, I don't think you need directions for it - ya'll are GOOD!
The card is a standard size 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded/finished and fits the Medium envelope.

Here's a close up of the tag I created for the card box:

I love the color scheme - it's light and welcoming and warm all rolled into one. And it has a touch of red.
My Mom always said that a 'finished' room has a touch of red in it somewhere and the red in this ensemble just makes it!

Here's the supply list for you: (The Home for the Holidays stamp set is retired, but was perfect for this commission)

As always, just click on any one of the thumbnail photos to shop in my Online Store. All of the products are linked there!

I assembled these cards live on Periscope today and had a fun chat with some of my viewers. You can still catch the replay if you have the Periscope App and follow me - @trinitydesign95
I broadcast several times during the week, so be sure to check it out!
What kind of stamping/crafting would you like to see me do live during a broadcast? I'd love your suggestions in the comments!

Vintage Leaves Wreath Card

So many leaves, so little time....
I could seriously design with the Vintage Leaves stamp set for a month - I love these images!

Emma and I were driving home the other night and the idea of making a wreath out of these smaller leaves seemed like a fun idea to try - here's the result:

I used the larger of the two leaves inked in Old Olive and stamped it in a circle shape on Whisper White card stock. It's stamped 8 times and the stem of each leaf is layered on the outside edge of the leaf behind it so they overlap a bit.
The last two overlap a bit more, but it's the perfect spot for the bow!

Next, I used the Leaflets Framelits with my Big Shot and cut out 8 of these smaller leaves that I'd stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on more Whisper White card stock:

Each one had a Stampin' Dimensional added to the back.
I then adhered them to the stamped leaves, tucking the stems slightly under the tip of the leaves behind them.

Once all the leaves were attached, I used my 2 Way Glue Pen and dotted glue all over the leaves and added Gold Glitter for a bit of gleam.

The bow is made with 24" each of Cherry Cobbler Thick Baker's Twine and Gold Metallic Thread. I adhered it to the wreath with Glue Dots.
The greeting is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and is from the Joyful Season stamp set.
Mossy Meadow card stock was used for the card base and a mat layer of Cherry Cobbler completes the color scheme.
Here are your measurements:
Mossy Meadow: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" folded to make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base.
Cherry Cobbler: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Whisper White: 4" x 5 1/4"

Here's an alternate version using Basic Rhinestones for the "bling":

It's a little more simplistic, but if you're not a glitter girl - and I know you're out there! - this is a good alternative to adding some sparkle with no mess. :)
See how I'm always thinking of you? HeeHeeHee

So, what else can I make with these leaves?

Vintage Leaves 2 Ways!

Howdy crafty peeps!
It's been a month....I know....and I'm hanging my head over here.
But let's not dwell on my lack of posting but on these two cards instead!
(See how much I love you guys?? I'm back and giving you a twofer!)

My latest stamp set obsession has been Vintage Leaves along with the matching Leaflets Framelits. I seriously can't stop creating with these amazing images. I stamped both of these beauties yesterday - and did a live broadcast on Periscope too - and got back in the studio last night and made yet ANOTHER card that I'll show you tomorrow.

Here, check them out:

This card was born because I wanted to challenge myself to make a Christmas card with non-Christmas stamps. I sat down at my stamp table and pulled a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock from my serendipity pile (too good to toss pile). I saw the oak leaf stamp still on the acrylic block sitting there and the light bulb went off!

Gold embossed leaves on Cherry Cobbler turned out to be gorgeous! And I embossed the greeting from the Wonderland stamp set in gold as well on the strip of Tip Top Taupe card stock to match the mat I'd chosen. But...it was still missing something....
So, I pulled out my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and White embossing powder and voila! Snow!
To say that I was doing the stamper's happy dance was an understatement. :)

The greeting was super simple, by the way - I simply hand cut the embossed piece from the card stock it was stamped on and flagged the ends with my Paper Snips. A bone folder was used to curl it and I attached it with Glue Dots. Easy-peasy!
And just like the greeting on this card I made next:

I had finished my Periscope broadcast and wanted to try reversing the colors I used, putting Tip Top Taupe on top.
(Say that 5 times fast! LOL!)
It seemed like it would be perfect for a fall themed card, and I think that yeah, it was!

I used Cherry Cobbler embossing powder to emboss the leaves this time and then took out my Sponge Daubers to color them in. Delightful Dijon and Cajun Craze were the perfect colors to add Autumn color so I added the Dijon first and then the Cajun Craze as an accent.

No snow on this card tho', I used the speckle stamp image to add some background filler with Tip Top Taupe ink - perfect!
The greeting on this card is from A Dozen Thoughts, a great alternative greeting stamp set - love it!

If you catch them before 11:15est today, my Periscope broadcasts will be available for you to view. You simply have to find me there!
Download the app from the App Store or Google Play to your mobile device, it's free and you can use either your Twitter handle or phone number to sign up.
You don't have to post there to follow me - I promise!
My handle is @trinitydesign95
