Adorable Owl Punch Art Card

Whooooo's having a birthday?

Even if you aren't, this adorable little guy would be a great card to send anyone for a fun pick-me-up!
I should know, I received a similar card in the mail from a Stampin' Up! friend recently and I just HAD to re-create it - he's SO cute!

I'm sure the design has been around, but I don't do a lot of punch art so I'd not seen it before. This one uses the soon to be retired Top Note Big Shot Die along with the also retiring Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper and the Neutrals Candy Dots. (those are his eyes!)

I've got a complete supply list for you below - lots of punches!
And I've got a quick assembly video that just needs to be edited and I'll post that for you on my Facebook page and my YouTube channel.

Do you follow me on Facebook and YouTube?
Here are the links for you:

I'm in the process of switching over to more of an online business - my church and family commitments have always been first priority in my life, and in recent months most of my time has been taken up with them. I have NO regrets about that at all, but I LOVE my Stampin' Up! business and I LOVE creating fun things to share!
Moving to a mostly online format will work for me for SO many reasons and I'll be able to reach more of you with fun paper crafting creations, ideas and tips.

I created a NEW Subscription Service called #SubscribeTDS where you receive FREE Card Kits each month in the mail by simply placing a $30 minimum product order with me through my website using the special code I provide my subscribers.
When you commit to a 6 month subscription - you receive FREE stamps too!
This month, my subscribers are also getting video tutorials along with their card kits and PDF instruction sheets.
Visit this link HERE for details on how you can subscribe!
(Charter memberships no longer available, but 6 month and month-to-month subscriptions are.
E-mail me at trinitydesignstudio1@gmail.com to subscribe beginning in June 2015)

If you are local to me, don't fear - I'll still be holding classes and events here in the studio.
Monday's will be my class and event day and I'll have evening offerings through the Summer and will add day events in September.
Look for the NEW Make-It-Monday Event schedule on my website and Facebook page soon.

Graduation Invites and the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig - Tutorial Video!

I've been a busy, busy gal lately in the studio - so much is happening over the next month in our family and it's requiring a LOT of paper crafting!
You know I'm in my element - LOL!

Anyway, I needed to whip up some masculine invitations for our bonus Son Andrew's high school graduation party and I chose to start with the Celebration Basics Invitations that are retiring from the current SU! catalog. (They are on sale for just $2.49 right now - what a deal, right?)

Here is a pic of the finished ones:

As you can see, I used some *ahem* contraband for the invitation decoration - but what's a girl to do when she needs black and red Fender guitars??
In my defense, I DID use my Big Shot, AND Stampin' Up! card stock - except for the black..... we don't carry glossy black anymore.
Apparently no one else does either so look what I had to resort to:

Yes, those are black glossy paper plates.
I got 3 guitar bases out of each one - and I was darn proud of myself!
(this is what desperation will do to you - make you think you're brilliant!)

Anyway, these invites were super simple to create AND I even used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (SAMJ) for adding the year to the back of the envelope.
The Class of 2015 single stamp in the Occasions Mini is a great image - I'm using it a LOT over the next few weeks - and for the envelope flap, I wanted to use just the year part as an accent.

Some of you have told me that you hate the SAMJ.
Honestly?? It's an awesome tool and really very easy to use.
It requires a tiny bit of thought - I KNOW you can do it! - but it's really easy-peasy.
I even made a short TDS Quick Tip video to show you how.
You can either click on the picture below to view it, or click the link in the caption and it will take you to my YouTube channel.

Playing With Sneak Peek Toys - The Gift Bag Punch Board!

Oh man.....

Are you guys ever gonna LOVE the new Stampin' Up! Catalog!
I've had a blast playing around with all the New Sneak Peek goodies I unpacked last week - if you want to watch the video of that fun time, click HERE for the link.

One of the very first things you will want to put on your order is the New Gift BAG Punch Board.
It quickly and easily lets you create adorable gift bags from a variety of papers.
Check out these two I made the other day:

I used the NEW Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack for this one - when I opened my pack, a piece of the Basic Black fell out so I took it as a sign that I was supposed to create something with it. LOL!

I used the Whisper White Organza Ribbon for the handles - SO glad that ribbon isn't retiring! I chose not to use the hole punch that's on the Punch Board and added the ribbon holes myself with my Crop-A-Dile.
The tags are made with the Note Tag Punch and the Merry Everything clear-mount stamp set. I stamped in Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White card stock.

Believe it or not, I used just one sheet of 12" x 12" paper for this bag - it was so easy peasy.
Check out the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim...
I wanted to jazz up the edge of the contrasting trim a bit, so I added some of the sequins with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. (Tombow, Green Glue - whatever you call it. I call it awesome.)

And of course, it had to have some sparkle to match the sequins, so I added 2-Way Glue to the white stripes on the bag front and covered it in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
Fancy, huh? :)

Here's the other gift bag I made, out of NEW Designer Paper!
I used the Bohemian Designer Series paper with these fabulous, bold color combinations.

For this bag, I used the hole punch that is part of the Punch Board and opted to thread the Natural Chevron Ribbon through them for a different look. The co-ordinating tag hangs from the knot in the front.

A bag this colorful and bold needs a tag that contrasts and neutralizes the colors a bit so I used Very Vanilla card stock to cut a tag with the Chalk Talk Framelits and my Big Shot.
I used Crushed Curry, Blackberry Bliss and Island Indigo - all colors found in the Designer Paper to create the tag. The greeting is from the NEW Friendly Wishes stamp set and the border is from the NEW and co-ordinating Bohemian Borders stamp set.

It was SO much fun to use this new tool - I know you'll love it as much as I do once you get it in your crafting space.

Be sure to add Item #135862 Gift Box Punch Board $20 to your Wish List. You'll be able to order it in my Online Store on June 2nd!
