RemARKable Stampers - 25th Anniversary Blog Tour - June - Brides and Babies

Hello stampers!
Welcome to my blog and your next stop on the RemARKables Best of 25 Years Blog Tour.
You've just come from the talented Anne Matasci's blog - Maui Stamper. Didn't she have some great artwork for you?

Here are my projects for the Best of Brides and Babies stamp set.
First off - the bride.
(You really should have the bride before you have the baby - ya' know what I'm sayin'?)

I have had ZERO time to stamp this week - so much going on here with life - so I got up at 6 am yesterday morning, poured a big cup of coffee and got stampin'.
Apparently, early morning is a good time for my mojo because I was doin' a little happy dance over these cards.

The wedding card uses this simple yet elegant line art of a bride and groom. I chose to heat emboss it in Black onto Very Vanilla cardstock.
It's cut out with the New Deco Labels Framelits as are the window openings in the card front.
The  middle layer is the New Modern Medley Designer Series paper. I love the elegance of the Black and Vanilla and it was perfect to spotlight the embossed image.

The front card layer was embossed along with the Designer Paper layer using the New Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder in my Big Shot. The whole layer was popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals to give it depth.

Take a peek at the inside:

The New Happy Day stamp set has this swirly stamp that was PERFECT to use right above the Deco Label cut out piece. I stamped that in Black Staz-On ink and adhered the bride and groom over it.
This card really put a smile on my face when I got it all figured out. Hope it makes you smile too!

Know what else makes me smile? Babies!
Babies bring such pure joy and I wanted to create cards that just shouted "happy"!
So, here you go - first up, the Boy version:

For this card, I took my color cue from a pack of New Designer Paper - Birthday Basics. You will NEED this paper, I'm just sayin'. It's SO fresh and fun!
Bermuda Bay, Gumball Green, Pistachio Pudding, Summer Starfruit - what an awesome combination for a sweet yet playful baby card.

I used the Stripes embossing folder on the Pistachio Pudding layer to make it a little more "manly" and finished off the focal image with a natty knot of Summer Starfruit Stitched Ribbon.

Here's the Girl version:

This color combination is really sweet - Strawberry Slush, Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe - so yummy!
The Crisp Cantaloupe layer is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, great for my whimsical girl card.
But the focal image is what really grabs you with this one:

Here, I used 3 strips of the New Strawberry Slush 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim to mimic the look of a baby girl's ruffle butt panties. I love those little diaper covers or panties that have rows and rows of ruffles - just so stinkin' sweet - and perfectly hinted at with this awesome new ribbon!
The blingy accent is one of the new Very Vintage Designer Buttons. I simply added a few Glue Dots to the back of a Large Rhinestone and adhered it to the center of the button. More Glue Dots stuck it to the card front for a perfectly girly-girl accent.
Love it!

I hope you've enjoyed your stop here at my blog on the tour, you've still got lots of great ideas ahead of you so be sure to keep going!

RemARKable Stampers - June Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Mosaic Madness

Hi everyone!
Thanks for stopping by today. If you are already on the tour, you should have just come from Anne Matasci's blog Maui Stamper. As always, I'm sure she inspired you with her creations!

Today, we're working with the extremely versatile Mosaic Madness stamp set. I've enjoyed working with it in the short time I've had to stamp lately and can see that it's going to become a well-loved set in my studio. All the extras that coordinate with it really give it the versatility - there's the Mosaic Punch, the Mosaic Embossing Folder and the Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Paper. Great new and fun options in the new catalog.

When I sat down at my table to start designing for today's tour, I knew I wanted to try something completely different, so tell me, what do you think?

I used the striped mosaic stamp to create flower petals for this two layer flower.
Each layer has 8 petals, stamped with Strawberry Slush ink, punched out with the Mosaic Punch and adhered to a punched circle cardstock base.

For the bottom layer, I adhered them to a 1 3/4" Circle, for the top layer, I used the 1 1/4" Circle punch.

Each petal was curled slightly using my Bone Folder before I glued them down.
The top layer is mounted on stacks of two Stampin' Dimensionals to give it more lift, then the whole flower is mounted to the card front with a single layer of dimensionals.
I did use my Two-Way Glue Pen to add some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the edges of the flower petals before I adhered it.

The flower center is a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe Designer Series Paper punched out with the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch and sponged in the same color. I threaded a large Vintage Button with Whisper White Baker's Twine and adhered it to the circle with Glue Dots.
For the background, I stamped the leaf image from Betsy's Blossoms in Pistachio Pudding ink on Whisper White cardstock. The greeting, from the new Hostess stamp set Express Yourself, was stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe and then I added the 3 Basic Rhinestones as a final accent. The card base is Strawberry Slush to coordinate with the ink colors.
I LOVE how this one turned out - and it was really easy to create too!

Next up is an experiment I tried that turned out just right:

I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Mosaic Embossing Folder. Working on the side with the raised mosaic pieces, I took out my Stamp-a-ma-Jig and got stamping.

I inked the stamp image in Versamark ink and stamped it on one of the raised mosaic pieces.
Next, I heat embossed it with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder and moved on, stamping four of them in a row, one at a time.

Once the embossed mosaics were done, I took out my Smoky Slate ink pad and again with the Stamp-a-ma-Jig, inked the small mosaic image and stamped 6 of them around the embossed mosaics.
**Note - I was working with this set in Wood Mount, but I would recommend using the Stamp-a-ma-Jig even if you are using the Clear Mount stamps. It's necessary to get them lined up well.

The card layers are Smoky Slate for the base and Cherry Cobbler for the mat. The Cherry Cobbler layer is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals all the way around to give it a more elegant look.

Here's a close up of the greeting:

I used the same greeting stamp set as on the first card, this time stamping in Cherry Cobbler. I turned the Mosaic Punch sideways to fit my greeting and added two Basic Rhinestones as an accent. The greeting is popped up on a Stampin' Dimensional.

This card really made me smile - even my hubby liked it - so that's the seal of approval right there!

Those are my offerings for you today with the Mosaic Madness stamp set - next stop on our tour is Maria Pane's blog so click on the icon below and hop on over there!
Thanks for stopping by, I'd love a comment from you to let me know how you liked the projects!

RemARKables Stamp of the Month Blog Tour - Tomorrow!

Yes, you are amazing!
Thanks for hanging in there with me these past few weeks. Since we got back from the Stampin' Up! incentive trip, it's been non-stop for us with my Mom's health issues. Just to catch you up a bit, while we were in Fiji, Mom was hospitalized where she was diagnosed with Leukemia. She contracted some infections and a heart issue was discovered as well so her stay was quite prolonged. She's been in rehab trying to get her strength and mobility back so she can begin her chemo treatments. We've been busy packing up her home and dealing with her 'life', so we can move her up here to be closer to us.

Needless to say, I've had almost zero time for stamping, let alone blogging. I have been trying to keep up with my Facebook page, since it's easy to update on the go, so if you want to still stay connected with me as we get my Mom through these next weeks, you can "LIKE" my page at:
"Trinity Design Studios - Paper Crafting and Fun"

I've been posting samples there from a virtual swap I participated in as well as fun updates and specials from the New Catalog.
The end of my Stampin' Up! year is in just a couple of weeks - June 30th to be exact. Believe it or not, with everything that's been going on, I'm VERY close to my end of the year goal.
I need just $3800.00 in sales to reach it, so I'm hopeful that with all the excitement over the new Catalog, that the few events I have planned will help me reach my goal.

If you need any supplies or if you need a new catalog - please let me know! I can get one in the mail to you, ASAP.
And as always, you can place an order on my website anytime, 24/7.
Here's the link in case you need it:

So, one last thing, be sure to check back here tomorrow for the RemARKables Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.
We are featuring the new stamp set - Mosaic Madness and I LOVE the samples I've created.
They both made me do the happy dance last night as I was making them! I can't wait to share them with you. :)
