A Card and A Contest!

Good morning everyone!
Normally on Thursdays here you'll see my take on the weekly UDI Blog Inspiration Challenge - notice I said NORMALLY! :)
For the past two weeks, I've been focused with "gazelle like intensity" (if you are a Dave Ramsey fan, you know what that means!) on my goal of earning the SU! Alaska cruise. Consequently, there hasn't been much "fun" stamping going on here with the exception of the times I've had parties and classes here. That is going to change today - I'm itching to get into the studio and let the mojo flow! So you'll see some new creations from me over the coming days.

This card is actually a re-do of a Stamping 411 card I did a few weeks ago. Here is the original post, and here is my new version:

My stamped bunny mutiliating friend Diana Gibbs invited me to participate in her swap for cards showcasing products from the new catalog that comes out next week. So, since I loved the original card so much, I updated it a bit.

So, let's have some fun, shall we?
Leave me a comment on this post and tell me what the differences are from the first card to this one! The guesser who gets them all correct will get their very own copy of this card in the mail! BE sure to name the different supplies used in both, including stamp sets. I'm not giving you a supply list today, but I'll post it on Saturday evening with the name of the winner!

I hope to get my UDI Inspiration Challenge card stamped and posted today, but in the meantime, check out the other design teams projects by visiting the UDI Blog.

Thanks for visiting me - can't wait to see what your guesses are!
Stamped blessings,
~~Robin

**In case you were wondering, I am still working on getting on the boat to Alaska and am hopeful that by Saturday, this dream will be a reality! I am painfully close - too close to give up now - so if you are a client of mine, or if you are a regular blog reader and don't have a local demonstrator that you support, please consider placing an order with me before the 30th. An order of ANY size helps from a pack of envelopes to a SNAIL refill to the Big Shot! :) You all are the BEST and I appreciate you so very much!

  2. Okay the difference I see is the ribbon. On the original you used the black gingham and on the remake you used the new 1/8" taffeta in black.

  3. Okay just spotted another one. On the first card the top layer (maybe vanilla) is crumpled and ink (crumb cake and a red) is sponged on. On the second the top layer is embossed with the new wallpaper folder and the key from the new Paris set (don't know the name) is stamped on it.

There is also a difference with the stamping of the music lines.

  4. OK, I see the background image is different, you have two sets of notes on the older version and only one on the newer version, the greeting is different, the ribbon is different, it looks like you may have folded the scalloped circle for more depth in the older version and the ink is different. Not sure about the brad, forgot to look.

  5. Well I see quite a bit of differences. One, it looks like you used an embossing folder and the original you didn't. On the original there is no key stamped in the background. Also the music note is stamped once and centered and the other one had it stamped twice. You used a "thank you" stamp on one, and the other had marvelous stamped on it. The ribbon is gingham on one and the other has the new 1/8 ribbon. Thats about all I see right off hand.

  6. OK, forget the scalloped circle being aged, I took another look and you did it to both cards. Sorry for the confusion.

  9. Differences:
    - NEW Vintage Wall Textured Impressions Pad
    - NEW 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (Which is higher on the black cardstock then originally)
    - You added in the key stamp from the NEW Artistic Etchings Stamp Set instead of using the Medallion stamp set
    - You changed the Marvellous to Thank You (I can’t remember if there is a in the Artistic Etchings Stamp Set or if you used the Thank You Kindly stamp set)
    - You did not use any Log Cabin Smooch Spray on your 2nd card.
Well those are my guesses. :-)
GOOD LUCK on making cruise!!!! You still have a full 7 days to do it!!!

  10. The 411 card doesn't have keys stamped on the upper background, uses the taffeta and gingham ribbon and has marvelous stamped as the sentiment. The new card has a different background stamped on the upper background paper, different ribbon and has thank you stamped as the sentiment. Both cards are beautiful, I love the vintage look and the tip on the scalloped piece.

  15. I am going to play, and hope I will be the lucky receiver of the card!

1.One the new card, instead of crumb the newsprint dsp, you use "Vintage Wallpaper" embossing folder. I think (not sure) you put Crumb cake ink on the embossing flder first and ran the dsp through big shot to get the color.
    2. you also use the key image from "Artistic Etching" with Rich Razzleberry ink stamp (stamp off) on newsprint dsp.
    3. The greeting on the new card is from "Fresh Cuts"
    4. The ribbon looks like Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta plus the new Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta ribbon.
    5. From the picture, it looks like the Smooch Spray is only used on the basic black piece but not the card base (crumb cake) as the old one did. And, the smooch spray looke like Gold Glow (instead of Log Cabin).

    Phew, that's all I can find : )

    Lovely card!
