Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge

Wow! What a fantabulous day it's been in the studio!
I have been stamping ALL DAY LONG! And the phone only rang 4 times! WooHoo!!!
Mark and Emma went to Kings Dominion with our church youth group for KingsFest today and I've had the house all to myself - just me and the dogs. Well, my friend Nancy too, but she met me for dinner and we came back here to stamp our convention swaps!
Nothing like a GREAT stamping day!

I almost forgot to do my post for this weeks Stamping 411 Sketch, but here I am, and here you go - our great sketch this week:

And here is what I did with it:

I'll give you the complete supply list at the bottom, but most of the supplies I used are New from the smokin' hot NEW SU! Catalog!

I folded my Marina Mist cardstock base and layered it with a piece of Pear Pizazz cardstock that had been texturized in the Big Shot with the Diamond Texturz Plate. Did you know if you spray a little rubbing alcohol on the cardstock before you run it through that the impression is deeper and the alcohol evaporates almost instantly? Yep, just don't spray it too close to the cardstock or you'll stain it. Ask me how I know........

I then alternated layers of Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Greenhouse Gala DSP (yummy-licious!), more Early Espresso, more Pear Pizazz, then my focal panel. Whew! That's a lot of layers! :)

My focal images comes from the New Friends Never Fade stamp set and I used Stampin' Write Markers to color on it before stamping on the Whisper White cardstock.
The greeting is from the single stamp called Three Leaves. I simply markered the greeting only and added it beneath my image.

Now, check out that lotus blossom......

Can you see the Crystal Effects? Yep, I added it in dots, so it would feel quilted over the flower image. It's really cool in real life! I wish you had touch-o-vision! :)
Lastly, I added my signature bow, but doubled ribbons again like last week. It's not easy to get it to tie nicely, but with practice, it gets better. And it's worth it - I love the effect! It's simply attached with Mini Glue Dots.

So, how do you like it? I'm loving these new colors and the new "stuff" to play with - I think it's going to be a very fun year with this catalog!
Be sure to stop over at Stamping 411 and check out what the other Operators created with this sketch too - they are a super creative bunch and I know will Wow you with their projects.

Have a wonderful Saturday and if it's hot outside, come in and stamp something!
Stamped blessings,
~~Robin
