Garden Pinwheel Candy Treats

Good Monday morning Stampers!

The countdown is on here in the Merriman home - T-32 hours and counting until we leave for the airport and the SU! Convention in SLC! WooHooo!!! I'm so excited to be headed back to stamping Mecca. The SU! Convention is such a fantastic, fun-filled four days, and is one of the highlights of my year! Me and 3,000 of my closest stampin' friends get to spend that time together, learning, stamping, laughing and being showered with super cool Stampin' gifts from SU!
I get to see my bff, Tiffany and my bff, Tara and my bff Georgia and.....well, you get the picture. Stampin' Up! has brought so many wonderful ladies into my life, I'd fill up this entire blog post listing them all. It's such a sisterhood, not limited by state lines or distance, but bonded by a common love of creating from the heart.

One of everyone's favorite things about any Stampin' Up! event is SWAPPING!! Just about every demonstrator who goes makes tons of projects to trade with other demonstrators. This way we come home with a plethora of fabulous ideas to share with our clients. I look forward to this every year because some of my best ideas come from Convention swaps.
I thought today I'd show you one of the 3D swaps I've made to trade, wanna see?

Ok, here ya go!

Aren't they cute?!! (I apologize for the poor photo, camera issues!) They are so bright and fun, I think everyone will love them! No, I didn't make 3000 of them, but I did make 30 of them, so I guess if you're going to Convention too and want one, ya better find me fast! LOL!

I used the Beyond the Garden Designer Paper for the pinwheels, and secured them with Rhinestone Brads.

They were attached to fun colored candy sticks with Mini Glue Dots and I placed them in Large Cello Bags.

The tags were made with two new stamp sets - Tagtastic for the frame, and Sweets for the Sweet for the greeting. I used a variety of colors for the tags, coordinating with the colors in the Designer Paper and the candy. Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango all combined to make a vibrant pinwheel bouquet!

Each package was tied up with Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon with the tag tied to it. I think these would make fantastic party favors, or maybe a fun little gift to put on a co-workers desk. Pinwheels just bring a smile to anyone's face!

Hopefully they made you smile today too - let me know what you think about this fun project! If you're attending convention - look me up if you want to swap! I need some great 3D ideas to bring home!

I'm off now to get ready for my Card class this morning - yes, I am crazy holding class the day before I leave, but it's their regular day! Don't worry, my list will all get done, and I can always stamp on the plane!

Stamped blessings,

~~Robin
