Rainforest Friend

Good morning and happy Friday!

Aren't you proud of me? I got out of my comfy chair, coffee in hand and came downstairs just to post for you today! Yes, my laptop is still out of commission and there's been no sign of movement on my hubby's part. What's a girl to do?

And to top it off, my coffee is black this morning because I have one of those fasting doctor's appointments. In case you are wondering I am already hungry and trying to decide what kind of Pop-Tarts are going in my purse to devour as soon as they take their samples! Did I tell you that I have Lyme Disease? That's why I'm going in this morning so they can check my titer. That sounds weird to me, but I didn't invent that word. Yep, I went to see the doctor last month because I'd been having some issues (keep the comments clean people!) and lo and behold, there it was, Lyme Disease. I do not remember getting a tick bite, not at all. But I guess you can't argue with facts. They put me on some meds that seem to have helped some, but I'm still having trouble with pain in my knees and ankles. They don't always want to support me these days. So, if you are going to convention and see me get lucky enough to go up on stage, just say a prayer that I make it up those stairs without doing a face plant onto the platform. That would just not be pretty for anyone! LOL!

So, I guess I just told you a lot, was it TMI? I'm really just trying to get my mind off being so HUNGRY!!!

Ok, today's card has nothing to do with anything I just told you, but you're probably used to that if you visit here often. You never know what you're gonna get!

This is actually the FIRST card I made with all my pre-order goodies last month. I just love this color combo:

Yep, so cool and soothing on a humid Summer day. Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo. Sounds like something I should be drinking at a place I should be visiting!

This 4 1/4" square card was a cinch to make. The Island Indigo layer is cut at 4" square, the Whisper White layer at 3 3/4" square. The greeting banner was cut with a scrap on the Petal Cone Die with my Big Shot.

I inked up my large greenery image with the Lucky Limeade Classic ink pad, then took a Sponge Dauber and added Island Indigo Classic ink to the outside edges to make it two tone. It's such an easy way to create a unique solid image impression.

The greeting was stamped in Island Indigo Classic ink after cutting out the banner. I added a Rhinestone Circle Ice Brad to the left side and trimmed it off to match the card edge. It's attached with Mini Glue Dots. And really folks, that's it! Pretty simple, eh?

So, think about me this morning and say a little prayer that they can figure out how to get all my junk under control. That sure would be nice!
In the meantime, you can find all you need to recreate this card or one like it in my Online Store. I've included a handy supply list for you below.

Happy Friday!
~~Robin
