Vintage Leaves 2 Ways!

Howdy crafty peeps!
It's been a month....I know....and I'm hanging my head over here.
But let's not dwell on my lack of posting but on these two cards instead!
(See how much I love you guys?? I'm back and giving you a twofer!)

My latest stamp set obsession has been Vintage Leaves along with the matching Leaflets Framelits. I seriously can't stop creating with these amazing images. I stamped both of these beauties yesterday - and did a live broadcast on Periscope too - and got back in the studio last night and made yet ANOTHER card that I'll show you tomorrow.

Here, check them out:

This card was born because I wanted to challenge myself to make a Christmas card with non-Christmas stamps. I sat down at my stamp table and pulled a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock from my serendipity pile (too good to toss pile). I saw the oak leaf stamp still on the acrylic block sitting there and the light bulb went off!

Gold embossed leaves on Cherry Cobbler turned out to be gorgeous! And I embossed the greeting from the Wonderland stamp set in gold as well on the strip of Tip Top Taupe card stock to match the mat I'd chosen. But...it was still missing something....
So, I pulled out my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and White embossing powder and voila! Snow!
To say that I was doing the stamper's happy dance was an understatement. :)

The greeting was super simple, by the way - I simply hand cut the embossed piece from the card stock it was stamped on and flagged the ends with my Paper Snips. A bone folder was used to curl it and I attached it with Glue Dots. Easy-peasy!
And just like the greeting on this card I made next:

I had finished my Periscope broadcast and wanted to try reversing the colors I used, putting Tip Top Taupe on top.
(Say that 5 times fast! LOL!)
It seemed like it would be perfect for a fall themed card, and I think that yeah, it was!

I used Cherry Cobbler embossing powder to emboss the leaves this time and then took out my Sponge Daubers to color them in. Delightful Dijon and Cajun Craze were the perfect colors to add Autumn color so I added the Dijon first and then the Cajun Craze as an accent.

No snow on this card tho', I used the speckle stamp image to add some background filler with Tip Top Taupe ink - perfect!
The greeting on this card is from A Dozen Thoughts, a great alternative greeting stamp set - love it!

If you catch them before 11:15est today, my Periscope broadcasts will be available for you to view. You simply have to find me there!
