A Little Kindness........

Goes a long way, doesn't it? It occurred to me that I know a lot of kind people. People who have the ability to make your day brighter just because they exist. That's such a blessing and I don't want to ever take them for granted! So, for all of you kindhearted friends out there, thanks for being you! This card is for you! Enjoy!

Stamps: Floral Background, Baroque Motifs
Ink: Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal
Cardstock: Apricot Appeal, Glossy White, Whisper White
Other: Certainly Celery DSP, Scallop Punch, Rhinestone Circle Brads Ice (green) Celery Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Brayer, Sanding Blocks

This card uses the Faux Linen technique. I stamped the Floral Background onto Glossy CS with Celery ink. Sanded it with the sanding blocks in two directions, then brayered on Apricot Ink and wiped clean with a paper towel. It's much prettier in real life, my camera doesn't pick up the subtleties of the texture.

Happy Wednesday!
Robin

  2. I love this card for its simplicity. There is a lot to be said for simplicity. I don't like the cards that are "busy". The sentiment seems to get lost with a lot of embellishments.
I have just started making some cards and especially like the one I made for my daughter. She reads my blog so I won't be able to post a picture of it until after her birthday on the 10th.
