Blushing Season of Joy

Good morning stamping friends!
Did you miss me yesterday? I didn't intend to not post, but I was out most of the day and when I got home, life just hit me and said "pay attention!" Do you ever have those days?! :)

So since I got no stamping done yesterday, I'm showing you one of the Christmas Cards we did at my Christmas in August class. This one was a favorite of everyone's.

I apologize for the dark ink smudge on the top of the card, I didn't photograph it before the class and it got dropped on the Crumb Cake ink pad! I don't think my Mom will care if this is the one she gets for Christmas, do you? :)

Anyway, I used Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizazz and Whisper White cardstock for this card and pulled out an old favorite stamp set - Season of Joy. This set has been around a number of years and never fails to create beautiful cards each time.
The collage image was stamped with Pear Pizazz ink on the white cardstock and then we used our Stampin' Pastels to highlight a few of the words.

All the layers were put together and before they were adhered to the card base, we used the Paper Piercer and Mat Pack to add some piercings to the opposite corners. It's amazing what this does to spice up a card front.
The flower stamp was inked in Blushing Bride ink and stamped on white cardstock. I trimmed it out with my Paper Snips, added a Gold Brad and attached it to the card front with a Stampin' Dimensional. For a final touch to the card, I sprayed it with some Gold Glimmer Smooch Spray - it looks fantastic in person!

Thanks for stopping by today - I hope you liked this non-traditional look for Christmas, a little something different sometimes is a good thing! :)
Have a blessed day!
~~Robin
