Baby Love - Clean and Simple!

"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body."
-- Elizabeth Stone

I just love babies! Sweet smelling, soft cuddly, infinitely huggable, precious little bundles with oh, so perfectly tiny fingers and toes! Just LOVE them!
But you know what I love best about babies?
That I can give them back to their mommas! :)

MY baby is 12 years old and I LOVE being her Mom, but God knew what he was doing when he only gifted us with one of our own! I am so not cut out for all the demands of those precious little tiny people. I bow down to ANY Mom who has more than one - I am NOT worthy!

But, since I love babies, I love baby showers and all the fun things you can do preparing for one and all the cute little things you can buy for them.......it only makes sense that I'd like making sweet little cards for them too!

This cute little card is kind of a take off from one that I created for my Convention presentation this year. I used the Note Cards with Envelopes for my card base (the pack comes with 20 cards and envelopes and is a bargain at just $5.95 a pack!) and layered it with a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.
The stamped layer is Whisper White and I used the A La Carte Stamp Baby Steps to create this little lovely. I inked the little baby elephant with the Marina Mist Stampin' Spot and then stamped off on my Grid Paper. I then inked the Momma elephant with the same spot, leaving it full strength. I wiped off the little heart at the end of her nose and colored it with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. After huffing on the stamp slightly to re-wet the ink, I stamped it on the Whisper White cardstock. You could also use Stampin' Write markers to ink the whole thing, but the spots were faster.

After stamping the image, I cleaned my stamp well and then inked up the greeting (which is part of the same stamp) with Night of Navy ink and stamped it across the bottom of the card front.
A little piece of Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and a cute little bow attached with a Mini Glue Dot completes this card and it's ready to send or give with your gift.

You could also replace the "Congratulations" with a Thank you and make a set of notes for the Mommy-to-be to send out after the shower!
We made this card in my card classes last month and everyone loved how cute and Easy it was!

Have a great Wednesday everyone - and thanks for stopping by!
