UDI Inspiration Challenge - Color My World!

Hey stampers!
It's that time again - another Inspiration Challenge over on the UDI Blog and I have a fun project to share with you!

It's back-to-school week around here and I'm sure that it's been a shock to the system for many - me included - having that alarm clock go off super early again!
I am NOT made for 6 am, just sayin'!
So, with the early mornings, not so early nights and all the back-to-school stuff in between, this little stamper is tired! Good thing the inspiration photo this week was a bright one!
Here is a view of the cute project I was inspired to make:

And here is our Inspiration Photo:

This just screamed back-to-school for me and it played right into something I needed to make for Emma. She has P.E. on alternate days at her school and needs to carry her gym clothes back and forth. So, I got her a small, neon green canvas bag for her smellies and it was just so PLAIN! It needed a tag! Better yet, a Stampin' Up! tag made especially for her by Mom! Yeah!
Now, I don't know if she'll be the envy of all her friends (probably not), but at least her gym bag will be cute!
Here is a close up shot of the front of the tag:

I used a combination of current and retired products to make this - COLOR was key so I made use of what worked, kwim?

Here is a photo of the back side, I almost like it best:

I love, love how this turned out and Emma did too! Whew! At her age, you never know!
To make the tag itself, I used my Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive to adhere Whisper White cardstock and retired Island Oasis DSP to opposite sides of the cardboard that came with a package of the new Designer Fabric. Now that's recycling!
I ran it through the Big Shot with my Two Tags Die and then stamped on the Whisper White side with the Extreme Elements stamp set. I used Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo - very bright!

The letters were cut with my Big Shot as well using the Simple Letters Dies. I stamped on them too and after adhering the letters to the tag with more Tombow, I covered them with Crystal Effects to make them shine!
The ribbon is some retired Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Grosgrain and I tied it through a Pewter Jumbo Eyelet that I'd added with the Crop-A-Dile.

This project was so easy and fun to make - literally from scratch it only took me 30 minutes to finish except for the drying time for the Crystal Effects and I started with no plan! It's all about the Big Shot folks, it makes my stamping life so easy!

Be sure to stop over at the UDI Blog sometime today and see what the other Design Team members have created for you. I know you'll be inspired!
Have a wonderful day!
~~Robin
