Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge #SSC135

It's time again for the fun sketch from the mind from our sketch queen Selene! Yes, she comes up with all our fabulous sketches each week for the Stamping 411 team to design around. This week's sketch was a great one for me - lots of straight lines to work with! hahaha! Here is the sketch:

and here is my card:

I love this new stamp set from the mini catalog "With All My Heart" and couldn't wait to get home from leadership and put it to use! Bonus - they gave it to us FREE! Yippee - gotta love being a demo! Anyway, I used the color combo of Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. Perfect for the Valentine minded cardmaker!

Here is a close up of the main elements:

I am very happy with how this one turned out, but I think I will go back and substitute the Rhinestone Circle Brad for another one of those Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brads! Yummy!

This sketch was also perfect for doing a 6 x 6 scrapbook page:

I simply moved the offset element to the bottom of the focal image to suit my photo for the page. I then added another Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brad next to it for an additional accent.

The scalloped edge on both the card and scrapbook page were made with the new punch that is a FREEBIE during Sale-A-Bration! I've been enjoying using that one a lot!
The scrapbook page uses the same color scheme as my card, I only changed the sentiment and the punch (Wide Oval) All the stamps are from the same stamp set though - I love when a stamp set is versatile like that!

I'm posting this early so the link will activate when Selene posts the sketch for YOU over at Stamping 411 tonight so I don't have all measurements handy. I'm actually headed out to a nice dinner and movie with my hubby. It's been kind of a trying week for us both and since Emma has a sleepover tonight, we are taking advantage of the time to escape for a bit.
I'll be back and edit this tomorrow for you with the measurements and supply list. In the meantime, be sure to check out all the other operators projects over at the Stamping 411 blog. And be sure to play along with us this week! We had 53 entries last week and did you know we gave away surprise blog candy? You never know if that can happen again!

Stamped blessings,
~~Robin

  9. Robin.... fabulous. I love the way the card has such strong colors and yet has a soft and filmy feel to it. Just gorgeous. I actually like the fact that you used one epoxy brad and a rhinestone - I think it was a fabulous touch.
