Elizabeth Says Three Little Words

Good morning stamping friends!
I'm back with Elizabeth today and she is keeping Mr. Darcy very busy whispering Three Little Words to him. (I am a HUGE Pride and Prejudice fan so this Elizabeth stamp has got my little creative mind just churning with ideas!) What about you, are you as enamored with the greatest love story EVER like me? :) I have seen at least 4 different versions of the movie (own two of them on DVD), read the book several times through and even have it in an app downloaded to my iPhone! Yep, I'm a fan!

Anyway, here is a set of cards I created recently for an event and my downline will be making the first one shown here tomorrow at our post-convention meeting.

I used Early Espresso ink to stamp Elizabeth with onto Whisper White cardstock, pairing it with a different color for each greeting from the Three Little Words stamp set. "I Love You" gets Cherry Cobbler ink and cardstock. The ribbon accent on all the cards is the Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta, which really, just goes with everything! Love this stuff!

Next comes "You, You, You" and it's sporting Old Olive ink and cardstock.

Each of the greetings is punched out with the Small Oval Punch and popped up on a Stampin' Dimensional to give it emphasis.

For the "I Miss You" greeting, Elizabeth was obviously feeling blue, so I used the gorgeous new Marina Mist ink and cardstock. This is fabulous with Early Espresso!

Now, check out this close up:

Do you see the three sweet little pearls? They are from the super cool new Jewels and are self adhesive! You get 150 on a sheet for just $4.95 - it's an amazing bargain and EVERYONE needs these pearls! They just add so much to a project for so very little!
Besides, Elizabeth just needs pearls, don't you think?

For the last of the card series, I used Rich Razzleberry with the "So Very Sorry" greeting. Not sure why I was drawn to that color for this particular greeting, but it just seemed to fit. I was thinking of this as more of a sympathy card than anything else. What do you think?

I really love how these cards turned out - the set would be a great gift idea for anyone! They are simple, elegant and really a breeze to create!

If you love them too and want to re-create them, you can purchase all the supplies you need from my Stampin' Up! website! Just click the Shop Now button at the top right and you can shop to your hearts content. All online orders this month will receive a special hand-stamped card from me as a Thank You!

I'll be back later tonight with my Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge Card. It's been two weeks since I've played along and I can't wait for you to see what I've created!

Have a blessed day everyone, and if you have time, go rent Pride and Prejudice and settle in for a wonderful, romantic love story that's good for the whole family!

  4. I think that "Edward" would love the Elizabeth stamp as it is so old fashioned and elegant, like he is. I know it is going on my next order.
    Mr. Darcy? Hmmm..who's that? Ha!
