#Thankful29 Project - A Card a Day in November (Day 18)

Well, the Retiring List of products from the Holiday Catalog was released on Monday. :(
There are a LOT of wonderful stamps and accessory items on that list that are going away forever. Sadly, the Woodland Embossing Folder is one of them.
(I'm SO sad about this!)
Be sure to order yours if you haven't already - you know you want it. And many of the cards I've been sharing and still have to share here this month use that folder. So you'll have PLENTY of great ideas for it!

This month, I'm posting one Fall themed card each day.
I love that so many choose November as a month to reflect and be thankful for the blessings in their lives.

Each day I share here, I'll also share one thing in my life that I'm thankful for - I'm encouraging you to comment on these posts with your own 'Thankful Thoughts'!
Let's make this November our most thankful season ever!

Here's today's card project:

Today's thankful is a simple one - I'm thankful for my mornings at home. Time when I can sip my coffee, read my Bible and enjoy the warmth of my fireplace. Moments like these are some of my most cherished.

What are you thankful for today?

#Thankful29 Project - A Card a Day in November (Day 15)

Simple Autumn Wishes -
bright blue skies, gorgeous white cotton clouds, a crispness in the air and the scents of a crackling fire, apple pie and pumpkin spice.
I love everything about this special time of year!
I especially love that so many choose November as a month to reflect and be thankful for the blessings in their lives.

Each day this month, I'm sharing a Fall themed card here on the blog.  I'm also sharing one thing in my life that I'm thankful for - I'm encouraging you to comment on these posts with your own 'Thankful Thoughts'!

Autumn, Meet Hardwood and Gold Glimmer - A CAS Card Project

Ever since I got the Holiday Catalog in my hot little hands, I've been on a TEAR making Christmas Cards and projects. Christmas really is my favorite holiday and I adore creating things that make us all look forward to it's arrival!
But, these past few days, I guess since Emma went back to school, I've been thinking about Autumn - which is my favorite season - and I've been feeling the pull of all the gorgeous Fall-themed products. They're calling my name, people!

So, yesterday, I was hanging out in the studio with Emma and was fiddling around with some retired designer paper and some Gold Glimmer paper. (I made a super cute BOX with the Gift BAG Punch Board, but I'll show you that later this week - promise!)
Anyway, that Gold Glimmer Paper.....man.....love me some Gold Glimmer Paper.
Sigh....
Ok, yeah, rabbit trail - but, you get me, right??

Here's the project that came out of my little pea-brain today:

Clean and simple with an unexpected twist - a Gold Glimmer Paper Leaf! It just makes my heart go pitty-pat.

The card base is a standard size - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (folded) and I used Crumb Cake card stock. My top 10 all-time favorite background stamp was my choice for this card - Hardwood. Love it! If you don't own it, you NEED it. So go order it now. Well, you can finish reading my post, but seriously, go order it.

I stamped Hardwood with Soft Suede ink on the Crumb Cake. The color combo reminds me of my Grandma's paneling a bit.

I used the new stamp set Among the Branches for the greeting and once I cut it out with the Circles Framelits, I covered the unwanted text (& tasty dishes) with a small piece of Venetian Crochet Trim.
The button accent is one of the Gold Basics Metal Buttons threaded with a string pulled from the Burlap Ribbon.
This piece was layered on a circle of Blackberry Bliss card stock punched out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch.

But the part that makes this card so special is that Gold Glimmer Paper leaf...
I used the Leaflets Framelits to cut it out on the Big Shot and just adhered it to the card front with Fast Fuse Adhesive. The greeting element was adhered over it with Stampin' Dimensionals and that card was done!

Here's all the products I used to create with today:
