Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge - SSC153

(NOTE: Edited at the bottom with card details and supply list on 5/29)

Hey folks! I have had the weirdest day today. Because of my continuing problem with headaches since my migraine a few weeks ago, I had to go to the eye doctor today. Now, I've never had my eyes dilated before today and honestly, I don't care to repeat the experience!
My eyes have felt weird all afternoon and I'm actually typing this illegally (not supposed to be reading or on the computer for a few hours). But, the good news is that I only need readers for right now, but I still have to go back and fix the headaches. Does everyone fall apart at this age?
Sheesh!

Anyway, I'm not going to get this post finished before we have to head out the door to take Emma to skating, but I didn't want to miss my posting deadline, so I'll come back and edit in the morning.

For now, here is the sketch from our Stamping 411 sketch queen Selene:

And here is my card:

It's a mix of a whole bunch of stuff, but there is one big thing missing -
there is NO WHISPER WHITE cardstock anywhere on this card!
I KNOW - shocker!
I'll 'splain it all to you in the morning Lucy, but for now, here's a view from the top:

and a close up of the focal panel:

Anyone wanna take a stab at what colors/paper I DID use? Hmmm?.....

Have a great evening everyone - check back in the morning for my card construction details and my supply list - I am out the door! :)

Stamped blessings,
~~Robin

  2. So pretty Robin! It looks like Pink Pirouette to me!!! I think Tiffany's distressed style is rubbing off on you....she's going to love this card so much!!!

Yes, getting older stinks. Everything does seem to fall apart. I hate getting my eyes dilated...makes you feel weird all day!

  3. Wow...you are right...no white! But an awesome color combination! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that ribbon detail! Tell your doctor to try the drops they make to un-dilate your eyes. Just had that done a couple months ago and they felt better almost at once! Feel for you with migraines/headaches...no fun!

  4. Wow Robin this card is so gorgeous, and I can't believe ALL of the details you put into it! Love the crinkled paper look, the Iridescent Ice ep, and especially that ribbon treatment! I'm not a fan of the eye dilation either, yuck! Especially because it takes SO long to feel "right" again after!!

  5. Another gorgeous card Robin! But I have a dumb question, lol. I made a card to participate in the 411 challenge this week but I can't get the new link thingy to work. I have the picture in Stampin Connection as usual. Can we still do it that way? Thanks!
