$1 Spot Treasure!

If there is anything I like, it's a bargain.
I especially LOVE a crafting bargain so when I spotted these 5" x 5" canvases in the One Spot at my local red dot store, I scooped them right up.
They have a picture on them of a cute little frog that's meant for a child to color in, but I knew I could do better than that.......

So, I created this baby:

It uses a plethora (that's a really big word for me, I know!) of products from the new Spring Mini Catalog. Which is a good thing when you love it all so much you can't decide what to use first.
I did start by covering the canvas face with a piece of Pool Party Designer Series Paper, sponging the edges with Crumb Cake ink. And I'll go ahead and say it here - everything is sponged in Crumb Cake ink, so just assume it, ok?

I cut four squares of Crumb Cake cardstock for my art panels and pulled my colors from the More Amore Designer Series Paper. Pool Party, Real Red, Very Vanilla and Primrose Petals.

The greeting is from the Occasions Alphabet from the Idea Book and Catalog. It's cut out with the Hearts - A - Flutter Framelits and I punched a heart from the Red Glimmer paper as an accent for it.

The new Hearts - A - Flutter stamp set was used on the top two panels along with the new 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Large Pearls and bow made from the 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon.

For the bottom left corner, I used the Honeycomb embossing folder on Pool Party Co'ordinations cardstock then added a new Designer Builder Brad. I punched a hole with my Paper Piercer through the canvas so it would stay secured from the backside.

These were created for my GoDivas swap group's 3D swap and I think they loved them. At least I hope so, because I sure do!

I'd love to know what YOU think. Comments are ALWAYS welcome, it lets me know that someone other than my Mom is reading my blog! LOL!

Happy Stampin'!
