Easy Envelope card

In just a few short hours, my studio will be filled with my awesome stampers - all of them with love on their minds.
Today are my two Very Valentine's classes and I can't wait to make these fun projects with everyone!

I'm going to share them with you through the week next week, you've already seen the LOVE Banner, here's another one:

All of my projects for these classes began with the Sealed With Love Simply Sent Kit (still available in my Online Store). I just used the color scheme and other supplies to turn the kit supplies into completely different designs that what the kit was intended for. LOVE doing that, don't you??

For this card, I took one of the pre-scored envelopes and folded up the two long sides, trimming off the point of the one on top. Then I folded up the short side and used my Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere them into my envelope. I love the elongated envelope this made. 

Next, I stamped the Valentine sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set with Versamark on Real Red cardstock and heat embossed it with the New Pool Party Embossing Powder - it simply pops on the red background!
It was punched out with the Decorative Label Punch and then I added a heart shaped punch of Red Glimmer Paper to cover the embossed heart for contrast. A Basic Rhinestone Jewel was added to the middle. 

Using one of the dimensionals that came with the kit, I adhered the greeting to the top envelope flap, securing one end of a piece of Red Baker's Twine between the dimensional and the flap. To make the twine long enough to go around the envelope, I had to tie two of them together, but it actually looks really cute that way. The string is wrapped around the envelope and just wrapped around the dimensional behind the greeting to close it.

The kit comes with pre-printed love notes, so for this project, I trimmed the note down to 3 1/8" x 4 3/8" so it would layer on a piece of Pool Party cardtstock cut at 3 3/8" x 4 5/8". Just an easy added touch to bring more of that color into the project.
