Honeycomb Hello

3 Words - LEADERSHIP WAS AWESOME!!

Oh. My. Word. What an AMAZING week. Truly fantastic - and you know what? If you're on the fence about joining my team of stampers, it's time to get off it and get with it!
Stampin' Up completely inspired and amazed us with not just incredible creative ideas, but some ideas that will revolutionize our paper crafting experiences.

I am SO jazzed to share them with you in the upcoming weeks - so Stay Tuned!!

Today's card is one that I created for a swap I participated in last week.
(Let me just stop right here and give a big Shout Out to my wonderful Office Assistant, Valerie. The 10 days before I left for Leadership Conference were filled with an overwhelming load of unexpected personal things including a very sad funeral for a fallen police officer on our department and a horrible dental issue that nearly kept me from attending Leadership at all.
Valerie stepped up and helped me honor all my commitments by helping me get all my cards and projects completed. She is a marvel and I'm so blessed to have her!)

This card I was actually able to complete myself and it uses a variety of Spring Mini catalog products.

My color combo is Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Primrose Petals.
I used the new Primrose Petals Co'ordinations cardstock for the front panel, running it through the Big Shot with the new Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I sanded off the raised image to reveal the white core in the cardstock.

The three banners are from the Tea for Two Designer Paper package and are cut at 3/4" wide. I snipped the flag in the end with a square punch and curled them up with my Bone Folder.

The greeting is stamped in Old Olive ink on Very Vanilla. It's from the Oh, Hello stamp set and is cut out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits. It's sponged with a bit of Crumb Cake ink and is popped up on Stampin' Dimensional and added to the card front.

I used some of the fantastic new Flower Trim for the accent, sponging the flower with Primrose Petals ink before attaching it with a Glue Dot.

This card was one of my favorites and I can't wait to make it with my stampers this month too.

  2. I love this card! Can I ask a silly question? What is the stand you are using to hold the card called, and where did you find it? I had seen them before but not realized how they could be used, now that I want one, I can't find one!

    Thank you!

  3. Holly, not a silly question at all. It's a vintage flower frog - used for flower arranging. You can find them in antique stores for between $5 and $15.
They make great card stands! :)
    Thanks for visiting my blog!
